제목 Synthesis of Silica/PMMA Composites by Dispersion Polymerization in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
초록 Inorganic/Organic composites are attractive materials by insertion of inorganic particles into polymeric matrices. Inorganic/polymer composites consisting of silica nanoparticles embedded in polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA) were synthesized by dispersion polymerization in supercritical CO2. In this study, nanosized silica particles pretreated with 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate were used as seeds in the polymerization. Perfluoro-copolymer stabilizer provided sufficient stabilization to the SiO2/PMMA composite latexes in scCO2. The composites were confirmed by TEM, SEM and TGA.
