La1-xCaxMnO3 (x < 0.2) 다결정계에 대한 라만분광학적 연구 |

La1-xCaxMnO3±δ (LCMO) displays rich electronic and magnetic phases at low temperatures with different values of x, such as canted antiferromagnetism (CAF), ferromagnetic insulating (FI), ferromagnetic metal (FM), and charge ordering (CO). While the compositions for x≥0.2 have been extensively studied, the fundamental physics for x < 0.2 is still unclear. Here we present low-temperature Raman results of single-phase polycrystalline LCMO across the CAF (x = 0, 0.02, 0.04) and the FI/CO (x = 0.125) regions and their correlations with structural and magnetic properties. For slightly doped LCMO we observed a softening at 607 cm-1 below TN≒140K , which indicates the MnO6 octahedron change in response to the antiferromagnetic ordering of Mn spins and was interpreted in terms of the phonon modulation of the superexchange integral. The nature of charge ordering for x = 0.125 will be examined by carefully monitoring Raman signals and magnetic properties at a low-temperature region. |
