Synthesis and characterization of flourene basedD-A-D molecules for efficient inverted organic solar cells |

Recently flourene-based derivatives have presented a lot of interests in photorefractive, photoconductive, solar cells, and light-emitting diodes. Flourene based SOMs present the excellent absorption characteristics, fast electron donating ability, good hole mobility and charge transport properties. In this paper, a new flourene based SOMs (9-RFL), is designed, characterized and utilized as an effective hole transporting material (HTM) for solar cells applications. The synthesized molecule (9-RFL), showed a good absorption and emission properties. The 9-RFL displays good electrochemical properties and the HOMO and LUMO were calculated to be -5.65eV and -4.44 eV, respectively. These results indicate that the synthesized flourene based SOMs would be an excellent acceptor for fabricating high performance inverted organic solar cells. |
