Terminally-crosslinked block copolymer as a highly conductive and stable proton exchange membrane |
초록 |
Thermally-crosslinked sulfonated block copolymer containing fluorenyl group was prepared and fully characterized. The resultant polymer electrolyte membrane with an IEC of 1.54 meq g-1 displayed an exceptionally high proton conductivity of 0.09 S/cm at r.t. and 0.77 S/cm at 100 oC. In addition, the crosslinked block copolymer membrane showed very low methanol permeability of 5.37 x 10-8 cm2/sec at r.t. and 1.905 x 10-7 cm2/sec at 60 oC. Another omprotant feature for our crosslinked block copolymer membrane was its very low swelling through plane( 2.29 % at r.t. and 3.21 % at 80 oC) and comparatively less swelling in plane (14.8% at r.t. and 22.22% at 80 oC) than other block copolymer membrane. The results prove its potential applicability of our crosslinked block copolymer membrane as a promising proton exchange membrane. |
