In this paper, surface wettability, surface composition and surface morphology of PS plate treated by RF atmospheric pressure plasma for surface functionalization between before washing and after washing have been studied. Through washing process, surface wettability of PS plate took place alteration in different operating parameters, that is in low energy dose, surface wettability change dramatically before washing and after washing; with energy dose increasing, surface wettability decreased a little. The increases in surface hydrophilicity came from the formation of polar component (oxygen and nitrogen) on the surface, which was characterized by XPS. The surface morphology of modified PS plate were observed by AFM, no visible etching effect to modified surface were found owing to exposure on the plasma flame. |
