제목 | The doping effects of Er in Sr-doped LaMnO3 (LSM) cathode for IT-SOFCs |
초록 | Cathode polarization is the serious problem in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs) operation, because the loss of the oxygen reduction reaction at the triple-phase boundaries can drop the cell performance. An approach to solve this problem is the substitution of La with other rare-earth elements in the perovskite-type materials based on lanthanum manganites, which can exhibit higher performance in the lower temperature. Many different compositions with lanthanides and Sr or Ca on the A-site and with Mn, Fe, Co, Ni on the B-site have been proposed as alternative cathode materials. As for doping with lanthanides, many researcher have investigated related to the Sr-doped LaMnO3(LSM) with rare-earth elements, such as Pr, Nd, and Sm, however, the doping effects as for Er have not been. In this study, the LSM doped with Er has been considered as cathode materials for IT-SOFCs. The LSM doped with Er was synthesized by an EDTA-citrate complexing process. The synthesized powders were calcined, and then samples of LSM doped with Er were obtained by uniaxial pressing of the calcined powders and sintered. The microstructure, crystallinity, and electrochemical property of the LSM doped with Er have been investigated. |
