제목 Characterization of steel nitride layers using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD)
초록 EBSD is a very powerful analytical method for analyzing crystal grain morphology, crystal orientation, and crystal phase using electron diffraction patterns. However, for the EBSD measurement, there is a problem that the surface of the sample must be made into a very smooth surface free from damage. X-ray diffraction analysis, on the other hand, provides a simple sample preparation and accurate identification of existing phases, but quantitative analysis is limited. In this study, the microstructure and phase analysis of the nitrided layer of the gas nitrided steel were analyzed using EBSD. Samples with different ratios of Fe4N (γ ') and Fe2-3N (ε) composing the nitrided layer were prepared and analyzed. We will  compare phase analysis results between EBSD and x-ray diffraction.
