In this work, the glass fibers (GFs) with 3D network were fabricated with the growth of carbon nanofibers (CNFs) on its surfaces. The homogeneous growth of the CNFs can be prepared by the decomposition of C2H2 on glass fibers surfaces coated with metal-doped silica films at different C2H2 flow rates. The chemical composition and surface structure of the GFs before and after CNFs growth were examined by EDX, N2 / 77K full isotherms, and SEM. The electrical properties of the GFs were investigated using a four-probe volume resistivity tester. The high density CNFs were grown uniformly on GF surfaces. The CNFs/GFs fabrics surface exhibited excellent electrochemical properties due to the grown CNFs. |
