Forsterite Nanofibers via Electrospinning |
초록 |
Forsterite(Mg2SiO4) is known to be an insulator at high frequencies. Preparing gel fibers from viscouse alkoxide solutions through sol-gel chemistry is a practical technique for producing glass and ceramic fibers, since the process occurs at low temperatures. Recently, Electrospinning technique has been found to be an unique and cost effective approach for preparing fibers with large surface area in nanoscale dimensions. Forsterite nanofibers have been prepared from the solution containing magnesium ethoxide and tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) in ethanol.The solution for electrospinning with suitable viscosity was obtained by stirring the above prepared metal precursor solution with polyvinylacetate 14 wt% (PVAc) in acetone. The morphology of the nanofibers obtained have been studied using SEM, XRD and FT-IR. |
