Synthesis of the Pd(II) Catalyst Inkandfor Electroless Cu Plating on the PEN Film |

This study has been studied the facile method that formed copper circuit on the flexible PEN film for an electronic application. It is comprised of an inkjet printing of the organometallicPd(II) ink onto the surface-modified PEN film and a reduction from Pd(II) to Pd(0) as a catalyst nuclei for electroless copper plating. According to the conditions of surface modification, a variety of changes in contact angle, surface characteristics of the PEN film and electroless copper plating have been observed. The organometallic Pd(II) ink can besynthesized using the Pd(dpn)2Cl2 as a precursor and stabilizer and reduction agent. |
