A composite anode of Pt-ETS-10 and Pt/C with total Pt loading of < 0.3 mg/cm2for PEMFCwas successfully fabricated via spray coating. Those are, with different ratio of Pt-ETS-10 and Pt/C, one with alternative catalyst layers such as the first layer of Pt/C coated on GDL, followed by the second layer of Pt-ETS-10 and the other one with the first layer of Pt-ETS-10 coated on GDL, followed by the second layer of Pt/C.The result shows that the cell performance depends on the ratio of Pt-ETS-10 and Pt/C as well as the order of individual layer coated on GDL. It also presents the feasibility of using Pt-zeolite to minimize the Pt loading with maximum utilization. |
