Small pored titanium silicate, ETS-4 was successfully ion exchanged using K+, Ca2+, Sr+2 and Ba2+ and thermal stabilities of various ETS-4s were investigated.The effects of various cations exchanged in ETS-4 and on adsorption capacity, adsorption isotherm and thermal stability were thoroughly investigated.The effect of pre-heat treatment on adsorption capacity was also investigated.The results suggest that the adsorption capacity of Ba2+-ETS-4 is proportional to adsorption temperature and it shows the fastest adsorption among various ETS-4 samples.Finally, the thermal stability identified by XRD and thermal analysis shows that K+-ETS-4 exhibits the highest stability. |
