Nafion can effectively transport hydrated protons due to a nanophase-seperated morphology between the terminated sulfonic acid and nonpolar matrix containing fluorine. In this study, we prepared the staked Nafion by ‘heat-compression method’ as new processing technique of ionomers. That still sustained ion-exchange capability and had chemically continual cross-sectional linkage with same functionality. This interfacial adhesion succeeds owing to the thermal transition inside ionic aggregates and the relaxation of cryatalline. And this Nafion had improving morphology and conducting properties compared to the commercial Nafion, in particular, as increasing number of stacked layer. Each of ionic aggregates could be incorporated in each joining surface, following which, in hydrated state, directly lead to growing cluster network. Due to increasing transport properties and developing process of ionomers, this will lead to wide applicability of Nafion in electrochemical devices. |
