Improvement of Nb-Mo doping on low-temperature catalytic activity of VOx-based catalyst for NH3-SCR reaction |

A series of VxNbMoTi for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by NH3 was synthesized to overcome the disadvantages of a low V contents of V-based catalyst. The low amount of V are decrease catalytic activity under 300 °C. Nb is expected to be an alternative to accelerators for low-temperature SCR reaction. Mo enhanced the catalyst acidity and SO2 durability by synthesizing with V/Ti. Nb and Mo were selected as promoters to improved activity and SO2 durability under 300°C. According to the addition of Nb and/or Mo, physicochemical analysis is carried out to demonstrate characterization of the catalysts. It has been shown that the addition of Nb-Mo to VTi increases the total amount of NH3 adsorption, enhances the Brönsted acid site. The catalytic activity improved as the ratio of Vn+ (n=4 or 3) increased. The introduction of Nb-Mo improved SCR performance and resistance to SO2/H2O. In this study, we explored catalytic performance/resistance by using the surface/bulk analyses. |
