제목 | Synthesis of 4-aminobenzaldehyde terminated Fréchet-type dendrimers and their application to non-linear optical chromophore terminated dendrimers |
초록 | Dendrimers are spherical shape and have significantly attention for numerous application such as host–guest chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, metallodendrimers, catalysis and surface chemistry. Non-linear optical (NLO) materials have significantly attention as a promising candidates for making electro-optic (EO) devices. However, EO co-efficient of NLO chromophore are often lowerd by large dipole moment of the molecules in the poling process in the electric field. To overcome the hinderance by large dipole moment of push-pull type of NLO chromophore, NLO chromophores attached in the polymer back-bones or in the dendrimers have been studied. We have prepared 4-aminobenzaldehyde terminated Fréchet-type dendrimers which were reacted with electron accepting compounds to afford NLO chromophores on the surface of dendrimers.
