Comparative Dispersion Evaluation of CNT in Epoxy Matrix by CV Measurement |

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is commonly used to study the electrochemical properties by measuring current change upon changing voltage for the oxidation-reduction and battery life. In this work, dispersion condition of CNT-epoxy resin was estimated using CV with changing voltage in epoxy resin. CV method was used for optimum dispersion time in sonication condition (0.5s cycle, 50% amplitude) Good dispersion had high current versus voltage and then steep slope in CV graph. Optimum dispersion condition by sonication was for 5 hours. Due to the result of CV method, mechanical property of CNT-epoxy for 5 hours sonication time was better than other sonication times. This results were consistent with CV test cases. Ultimately, the reliability of CV method for comparative dispersion condition of nanoparticle was confirmed.
