Improved conductivity of transparent conducting polymer thin films via Au nanoparticles |

The development of flexible and highly conductive transparent electrode materials is of significant scientific and commercial interest. Vapor phase polymerized PEDOT is a promising alternative that offers a good combination of transparency, conductivity and flexibility. In this work, we synthesized PEDOT thin films by using vapor phase polymerization method and Au nanoparticles are inserted in vapor phase polymerized PEDOT matrix films. The size of gold nanoparticles is between 10 and 15 nm and the thickness of ICP is between 30 and 200 nm. The conductivity of Au-PEDOT hybrid films are increased up to ten times than that of PEDOT itself. |
