Preparation and applications of anion-selective ionomers prepared from poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) |

In this work, we have achieved the synthesis and characterization of high performance anion-exchange polymer made from poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) by successive bromination and amination processes. We also proposed novel amination process which is simple and convenient. The results showed that the anion-selective ionomers have excellent electrochemical properties. It was believed that they can be successfully applied to various electrochemical devices as an efficient anion-selective material.
