제목 | Promoting effect of Re on the improvement of perhydro-dibenzyltoluene dehydrogenation ability in Pt/Al2O3 catalyst |
초록 | Renewable energy and hydrogen energy are emerging to solve the global environmental pollution problem. Hydrogen storage technology is vital to overcome disadvantages such as intermittency and uncertainty of renewable energy. Among the technologies for storing hydrogen, Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHCs) are evaluated as promising hydrogen carriers due to their efficiency in unit volume and mass and the high stability of the material itself. Perhydro-dibenzyltoluene (H18-DBT), which is recently being studied as third-generation LOHCs, have stable physical properties and high hydrogen storage capacity but have disadvantages in energy efficiency and selectivity as high temperatures are required for dehydrogenation reactions. Accordingly, we examine the effect of the electronic change of Pt on the improvement of the dehydrogenation ability of H18-DBT caused by the introduction of Re to the existing Pt/Al2O3 catalyst to overcome the limitation of LOHC system to promote low-temperature dehydrogenation activity. |
