Spinning Characteristics of PBS/TPS of Blends |

We develop new non-woven fabrics of hygienic absorption was made of biodegradable polymer instead of nonbiodegradable matrix. Poly(butylene succinate) is currently used in a number of biodegradable applications. In the form of fibers and non-woven textiles, PBS also has many potential uses. Also, the prices of these biodegradable PBS are generally high cost, and thus blending with low-price resins becomes an alternative approach to resolving this problem. Starch has been considered an attractive biopolymer filler because of its low cost, biodegradability. This work was undertaken to examine the effect of gelatinized starch on the physical and mechanical properties of PBS/starch blends. After many laboratory works, we investigate method that is spinning of non-woven fabrics. Those were characterized with thermal analysis, including DSC and TGA. We elucidated in a morphology study with optical microscopy. |
