제목 Synthesis of graphene oxide nanocomposites with well-defined poly(butyl acrylate) and poly(methyl methacrylate) via the surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization
초록 A method for growing oligomeric butyl acrylate directly from the surface of graphene oxide is demonstrated. The first step of the synthesis involves nucleophilic acyl substitution of carbonyl groups in graphene oxide. This method involves the covalent attachment of an initiator followed by the polymerization of butyl acrylate or methyl methacrylate using atom transfer radical polymerization. The resulting materials were characterized and were found to improve the solubility and barrier properties of graphene oxide nanocomposites. The surface-grown oligomers were saponified from the surface and also characterized. These results meant the synthesis of graphene oxide nanocomposites via the surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization was successful.
