제목 | Swelling behavior analysis of proton exchange membrane in lithium battery |
초록 | Proto exchange membrane (PEM) is a main component material of fuel cell, but it has been also studies for interface layer of lithium battery because it can transport not only proton but other types of cations as well. To determine the feasibility and durability of PEM in battery system, we observed volume changes in the electrolyte. While the conventional swelling experiments conducted under the general operating temperature conditions of the battery, this study evaluated it with a wide range of temperature for further theoretical analysis. In addition to experimental data a mathematical expression based on thermodynamics has been proposed to theoretically describe the results. |
