제목 Sirolimus coating on heparinized stent surface to prevent restenosis and thrombosis
초록 The aim of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory effect of sirolimus (SRL) coated onto heparinized stent surface on restenosis and thrombosis. Heparin and dopamine was synthesized by chemical bonding and anchored on the stent surface by a mussel-inspired adhesion mechanism. It was well attached to the stent surface, although it was not evenly dispersed. After SRL coating (180.0 ug/stent) on heparinized surface, the surface morphology was smoothen. The smoothness of surface was maintained after expanding of stent. Subsequently, SRL was coated with poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) on heparinized stent surface. The amount of SRL released from stent was 67% within 7 days, followed by an additional releasing was continued to 28 day. These results suggest that heparinized surface-based SRL coating can be appropriate approach to prevent restenosis and stent thrombosis.
