제목 | Performance Evaluation of Electrospun Air Filter Media |
초록 | In this study, the filtration performance of electrospun filter media was evaluated. Nylon 66 blended with formic acid was used as a test polymer solution for electrospinning. The pore size distribution, air permeability, and collection efficiency of the tested filter media were measured. The filtration properties of the electrospun filter media were compared with those of HEPA filter media composed of glass fibers. As a result, it was known that the ultra fine fibers and high electrical charging state have a significant role in enhancing the collection efficiency of electrospun filter media, even though the electrospun media has bigger pores and consequently higher air permeability than HEPA filter media.
