제목 Nano-Sized Carbon Dots for Real-Time Bioimaging for Targeted Delivery of Hyaluronic Acid Derivatives
초록 Recently, fluorescent carbon dots (Cdots) have attracted much attention as a bioimaging agent due to the high photostability, large two-photon excitation cross-sections, low toxicity, and facile surface modification in comparison to semiconductor quantum dots. In this work, we synthesized hyaluronic acid (HA) – Cdot conjugates using EDC chemistry. After confirmation of the negligible cytotoxicity of Cdots and HA-Cdot conjugates, in vitro bioimaging was carried out for target specific intracellular delivery of the HA-Cdot conjugates by HA receptor mediated endocytosis. Furthermore, in vivo real time bioimaging of HA-Cdot conjugates confirmed the target specific delivery of HA derivatives to the liver with abundant HA receptors.
