Nanoimaging of Technetium-labelled Transferrin-conjugated Chitosan for Inflammation Site Diagnosis |
초록 |
The need to develop target-specific MRI contrast agents to aid disease diagnosis remains highly essential. Nearly 80 % of all radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine are 99mTc-labelled compounds. Therefore, 99mTc-labelled tranferrin-conjugated chitosan was developed and characterized as inflammation (or tumor)-targeted nanoimaging carrier. Technetium-labelled transferrin-conjugated chitosan (TTC) showed very high labeling efficiency of 99mTc stably for extended time. The TTC showed enhanced inflammation site contrast due to accumulation of transferrin-targeted white blood cell in the inflammation site. which was confirmed by conventional white blood cell staining method.
