Poly(ethylene glycol) used as a linker in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) gave many advantages for bio applications, and several PEGlyated polymer resins have been developed. From kinetics point of view, it is well-known that core-shell type resins can give good kinetic properties compared to non core-shell type resins. Combining these two factors, we have prepared PEGlyated core-shell type resin by using aminomethyl surface-layered polystyrene resin (AM SURETM) and Jeffamine ED-600®. Its core-shell type structure was analyzed by confocal images, and its performance in SPPS was tested by synthesizing several peptide sequences. |
