제목 Effects of covalent functionalization via chemical treatment on the thermal properties and non-isothermal crystallization behaviors of PPS/MWCNTs composites
초록 The PPS/MWCNTs composites were prepared by melt-blending techniques. For the FT-IR spectrum, it was confirmed that PPS and MWCNTs were mixed well by observing the characteristic peaks of MWCNTs. Moreover, the dispersion of the covalent functionalized MWCNTs on the PPS matrix was improved for the FE-SEM images. The thermal properties of the PPS/MWCNTs composites were also characterized using thermal conductivity analyzer, TGA, and DSC. Among them, the thermal conductivity was also considerably increased. The non-isothermal crystallization behaviors of the PPS/MWCNTs composites were confirmed by applying the kinetic models such as Modified Avrami equation and Avrami-Ozawa combined equation. The crystallization rate of the PPSP1 was become faster due to the nucleation effect of MWCNTs whereas the crystallization rates of those containing covalent functionalized MWCNTs were slower than PPSP1 due to the destruction the graphitic structure of MWCNTs by covalent functionalization.
