제목 Fabrication of Ferroelectric Nanodot Array Using Block Copolymer Self-assembly
초록 Ferroelectric material would be used as next-generation information storage devices. To compete with conventionally used storage materials, its cell size should be down-scaled. However, it is predicted that below a critical size ferroelctricity would no longer exist. To study such a size-dependent effect on ferroelectricity, we prepared PbTiO3 (PTO) nanodots array on a single crystalline substrate by using block copolymer micelles. Polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) copolymer was added to PTO precursor solution and diluted with a selective solvent, and spin coated on single crystalline substrate. After the block copolymer was removed by UV treatment, PTO nanodot array was thermally treated to induce epitaxial growth. Crystal structure and the ferroelectricity of nanodots were studied by X-ray diffraction and piezoresponse force microscopy.
