Asymmetric nanocarrier with different internal and external functionalities can serve as a versatile carrier for nanocatalyst. Anisotropically functionalized silica nanotubes were prepared by vapor-induced synthesis of silica on anodic aluminum oxide (AAO). After etching of AAO, VPS method produced bi-functionalized silica nanotubes with hydrophobic outer surface and hydrophilic inner surface. TEM, FT-IR, TGA, EDX results demonstrated that in and out functionalization of silica nanotube was fabricated. The anisotropically treated silica nanotubes were used for the aryl iodide olefination by inserted palladium nanocatalyst and their highest olefination efficiency were 99% calculated by GC-MS. |
