초록 | Photon inelastic scattering signal originated from molecular vibration, so called Raman scattering, bears rich molecular information thanks to its peak sharpness and its correspondence to each molecular vibrational modes. However, inefficient inelastic scattering process results in weak signal intensities which prohibit its applications to molecular level. In this talk, the scheme of Nanogap Enhanced Raman Scattering (NERS) which can overcome weak signal issues in Raman spectroscopy will be presented and its possible application in single molecular detection will be discussed. Nanogap structure between two metallic nanoparticles has been experimentally realized and its single molecular level Raman scattering signal detection has been successfully demonstrated. This scheme can be applied to optical detection of various target materials in single molecule level. |
