In response to the carbon emission problem, study is being conducted on the reinforcement and weight reduction of eco-friendly textile materials for low carbon emission. In recent, cellulose nanofiber (CNF), a widely used high-strength and light-weight eco-friendly material, is used. Polymers currently used in CNF-polymer composites use a high-temperature melt mixing process. However, when powdered CNF is used, strong capillary forces act between the nanofibers to cause agglomeration. In this study, to reduce the aggregation of CNFs, GEL in which CNFs are well dispersed was used in the high-temperature melt mixing process. For better dispersion and reduced thermal oxidation of CNF in composites, mineralizes the surface of CNFs, weakening the van der Waals interactions between them. Mechanical strength and rheological propertied of the composite were analyzed. |
