Electrochemical CO2 reduction performance of ZnO/MWCNT for CO production depending on the membranes |
초록 |
The global CO2 concentration has been increased by anthropogenic activities to produce energy, which have been induced the climate changes and increase in the earth temperature. Electrochemical CO2 reduction (ECO2R), one of the most promising processes of carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies, is prospective to contribute to greenhouse gas reduction. CO is a very attractive product derived from ECO2R due to the relatively low production cost and high demands from the industry. Even though Zn could be the alternative catalyst to replace noble metals for CO production because of its low price, the ECO2R performances of the Zn-based catalysts are lower than those of the noble metals. Therefore, to achieve high ECO2R performance for CO production, ZnO catalysts supported on multi-walled carbon nanotube (ZnO/MWCNT) were synthesized and the electrochemical tests of ZnO/MWCNT were conducted with different membranes in an H-type cell. |
