Introducing Nitrobenzene Compounds as Electron Acceptor for Activating Surface on Silver Nanoparticle in Facilitated Olefin Transport Membranes |
초록 |
Facilitated olefin transport membrane, containing positively charged silver nanoparticles leads extremely high separation performances for propylene/propane mixtures. The positive charge on the surface of Ag NPs was induced by electron acceptors, such as p-benzoquinone and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), which means that the electron acceptor plays a vital role in determining the olefin carrier activity and consequently the separation performance. In this study, as representatives of electron withdrawing nitroaromatic compounds, 1,2-dinitrobenzene (DNB) and 3,4-dinitro toluene (DNT) were used for PVP/Ag NPs membranes. . The correlation between the surface charge density of Ag NPs and the separation performance was investigated. A fairly good linear correlation between the surface charge density and the separation performance was confirmed. |
