제목 Introducing Nitrobenzene Compounds as Electron Acceptor for Activating Surface on Silver Nanoparticle in Facilitated Olefin Transport Membranes
초록 Facilitated olefin transport membrane, containing positively charged silver nanoparticles leads extremely high separation performances for propylene/propane mixtures. The positive charge on the surface of Ag NPs was induced by electron acceptors, such as p-benzoquinone and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), which means that the electron acceptor plays a vital role in determining the olefin carrier activity and consequently the separation performance. In this study, as representatives of electron withdrawing nitroaromatic compounds, 1,2-dinitrobenzene (DNB) and 3,4-dinitro toluene (DNT) were used for PVP/Ag NPs membranes. . The correlation between the surface charge density of Ag NPs and the separation performance was investigated. A fairly good linear correlation between the surface charge density and the separation performance was confirmed.
