제목 The Inflammatory Responses on Hyaluronic Acid Loaded PLGA Scaffold fabricated by Emulsion Freeze-Drying Method
초록 PLGA has been widely applied to tissue engineering as a good biocompatible material. However, their acidic degradation products can decrease the pH in the surrounding tissue, which result in local inflammatory reaction. We hypothesized that the cells neighboring the PLGA implant might have an inflammatory response which could be reduced by impregnating HA into the PLGA. To evaluate the influence of HA content in PLGA materials on cell viability. PLGA/HA scaffolds for the in vivo study were implanted in Wister rates for 5 days. Cell proliferation activity was measured using WST assay. ELISA for TNF-α was conducted to evaluate the inflammatory response of cells on the PLGA/HA scaffolds. Fibrous wall thickness and macrophage were evaluated by H&E and ED-1 immunohistochemical staining, respectively. We concluded that HA could reduce inflammatory response of PLGA.
