Properties of anodic catalyst layer containing a binder mixed with sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) and Nafion |
| 초록 |
The use of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (sPEEK) / Nafion binder as the proton-conducting medium within the anodic catalyst layer of DMFC is investigated. The addition of sPEEK binder of same chemical structure to the proton-conducting membrane (sPEEK) employed is shown to reduce interfacial resistance. The addition of Nafion binder is shown to increase the diffusivity for the reactant mass transport within the anode. Therefore, the fuel cell performance is enhanced when sPEEK / Nafion mixture binder is incorporated into the anodic catalyst layer. |
