In this talk, we present a collection of numerical characterization techniques that can be applied to bicontinous microstructure systems. For instances, two-phase coarsened digitial microstructures, where the matrix is surrounded by the “empty”, i.e., vacuum phase, are generated using a diffusional Monte Carlo method in the microstructure scale. The changes in kinetics and morphologies during the microstructural evolution are investigated using the characterization methods such as surface mesh information, pair correlation functions, Fourier transformation, and etc. |
