제목 | Investigation of magnetoelectric voltages in the self-poled laminate composites of cellulose/Ni |
초록 | Cellulose is abundant material in the earth which can generate voltage by applying external mechanical force. The cellulose has been used in various applications using its self-poled piezoelectric properties. Recently, several studies about cellulose films have been reported to achieve magnetoelectric (ME) responses that could be obtained by applying magnetic bias field. However, requirement of adhesive materials makes an insufficient strain transfer between piezoelectric and magnetostrictive phases. In this study, ME laminate composites of cellulose/Ni were designed to improve strain transfer between piezoelectric and magnetostrictive phases. Particularly, Ni foam was oxidized to convert Ni into NiO on the surface of Ni foam. Cellulose films and thermal-treated Ni foams were then fabricated by hot-pressing. Consequently, we expect the strong adhesion and the alignment of dipole moments by hydrogen bonds between cellulose and Ni, enhanced durability and adhesive-free as well. |
