Styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) membrane was prepared by presulfonation in various of sulfonation time. The basic properties of SBS membrane, degree of sulfonation(DS), ion-exchange capacity(IEC), water uptake and electrical resistance, were evaluated. The ion-exchange capacity(IEC) and water uptake of membrane were increased with increasing the degree of sulfonation. These values were 1.5 meq/g and 43 %, respectively. And also, the electrical resistance was increased as decreasing the IEC. This value was 40 Ω·cm2. |
