Polymer solar cells have continuously attracted great attention because of their increasing possiblity towards low-cost solar energy conversion devices. Considering their features such as light-weight, ultra-thin thickmess, flexible shape and semi-transparancy, their applications are expected to be extended to various consumer electronic systems. However, even though the power conversion efficiency of polymer solar cells is being improved, their reliability is not much criticized to date. Recently a few groups are trying to understand the stability of polymer solar cells but their studies are restricted to the monitoring of long time lifetime in devices. In this presentaion, we attempted to measure the decay of initial performance of polymer/fullerence solar cells by short time exposure under simulated solar light illumination. The detailed dated including surface and ionization potential changes will be discussed together with the device performance variations. |
