Synthesis and Characterization of epoxy-Acrylate/Methacrylate Resins. |

Epoxy acrylate resins are the most important thermosetting polymers that are widely used as structural adhesives, surface coating and UV curing system. In this study, epoxy acrylate resins were prepared from epoxy based on a diglycidyl ether of Bisphenol A epoxy resin and acrylic acid or methacrylic acid as end group modifier. The chemical structure was elucidated by fourier transform infrared and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The change of molecular weight was calculated by gel permeation chromatograph. The viscosity was analyzed according to ASTM D 2270. |
