제목 The Effect of Electron Beam Irradiation on Nylon 66For Application of Automotive Components
초록 In this study, the effects of the electrons (1.5 MeV) or γ-ray (Co60) irradiations on the Nylon 66 were studied. Generally, it was reported that two mechanisms were occurred in Nylon 66 by irradiation from previous researches. The crosslinking and scission reaction were induced by the types of radiation and the contents of radiation energy. Therefore, the Nylon 66 was cured by electron beam or γ-ray from 100 to 300 kGy. The gel content was characterized by soxhlet apparatus. The changes of the chemical structure by radiation were observed by FT-IR. The thermal and mechanical properties were measured by DSC, TGA, and UTM, respectively.
