제목 | Influence of the Silicon Carbide(SiC) on the Alumina Supported Co based Catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis |
초록 | Cobalt-based catalysts have been preferred for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS) due to its many advantages such as high conversion, long lifetime and selectivity towards higher hydrocarbons. The nature of supports influences on the dispersion, particle size and reducibility of deposited Co species, all of which impact on the catalytic activity. The effect of silicon carbide(SiC) on the particle size of active metals was investigated for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis reaction over Ru-Co based catalysts supported on γ-Al2O3. In order to elucidate the effect of modification of SiC with γ-Al2O3 support, the Al2O3@SiC supports with different SiC contents (0, 10, 20 wt%) were prepared by mixing beohmite and silicon carbide powder with diluted HNO3 solution. The Ru-Co/Al2O3 and Ru-Co/ Al2O3@SiC catalysts were prepared by impregnation method. It was found that with the increase of SiC content in support, the particle size of cobalt increased and the conversion of CO decreased under the tested conditions. The results interpreted that the formation of large cobalt crystallite was accelerated with increasing SiC contents added to Al2O3 by the weak metal support interaction. |
