Ion exchange membranes from fluorinated copolymers containing sulfonyl and fluorenyl units for fuel cell |
초록 |
We study on the preparation and characterization of the ion exchange membranes in which a series of copolymers composed of non-sulfonated sulfonyl units and sulfonated fluorenyl units containing fluorinated moieties are introduced. Degree of sulfonation of the synthesized copolymers was varied by changing contents of fluorenyl units and chlorosulfonic acid. Fuel cell performances were observed by ion exchange capacity(IEC), sulfonation degree(SD), water uptake, and ion conductivity. As the content of sulfonated fluorenyl units increased, the SD, IEC, water uptake, methanol permeability and ion conductivity of the sulfonated polymer membranes increased. |
