Evaluation of Proton Ion Beam Treated PLGA Scaffold Coated with Thin Chitosan Film |

Both mechanical and biological properties of the porous hybrid scaffolds were evaluated after irradiation of the Bragg peak energy of 10 MeV on the poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) scaffolds coated with thin chitosan films were evaluated for its applications to tissue engineering scaffolds. Coating of 3% chitosan was in advance performed on the superficial surface of the porous PLGA scaffold. After observation of its morphologies with SEM, in vitro cellular behaviors such as cell adhesion, proliferation were evaluated with CCK-8 and histologies of H&E and MT stains for the tests of tissue regeneration. |
