Secondary phase formation mechanism in the Mo-back contact region |

In this study, In this study, we explained that Cu-SSe and Cu-Sn-SSe secondary phases form at the CZTSSe/Mo and void/Mo interfaces due to the wettability behavior between the substrate and metal precursor when using a metal precursor. It was suggested that good wetting properties between a liquid metal and Mo substrate induce residual metal formation on the Mo-back contact side, and the residual metal transforms into the Cu-SSe and Cu-Sn-SSe phases.
