Enhanced thermal conductivity of graphite/epoxy film |

In this study, anionic fluorine functional groups are introduced on the graphite surface using to increase dispersive stability by electrostatic repulsion effect. A heat spreading film is prepared using modified graphite as filler and diluted epoxy resin as matrix and it is fabricated with 100㎛ thickness on Cu foil. The fluorine functional groups are introduced 12.46 at.% on the modified graphite surface and there are little structural changes. The dispersive stability is evaluated using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The transmittance of the modified graphite increased up to 77% compared to raw graphite. Finally, the thermal conductivity of the modified graphite/epoxy film increased about 65% compared to raw graphite/epoxy film. |
