제목 Water and Salt Transport in Membranes Derived from Layered Nano Materials
초록 For economic desalination, membranes should have high water/salt selectivity. Polymer membranes, such as polyamide, are commonly used, but there are still many challenges to be developed. It is necessary to find proper materials to achieve high performance. For example, carbon nanotubes show fast water permeability due to their narrow hydrophobic channels. However it will be a long way to be practically available. Therefore, in this study, we demonstrate new concept of membranes with multilayered structure. It can be prepared by stacking of small 2D nanoplates. Here we will discuss the water and salt transport properties through these new membranes.
