Functionalization of BNNTs surface through the carbonization of hexabenzocoronene derivatives |
초록 |
Althoughthe functionalization of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) is important forvarious application studies, the chemically inert nature of BNNTs makesfunctionalization difficult. Here, we report the noncovalent functionalization ofcarbon layers on BNNTs. The hexabenzocoronene (HBC) derivatives used as anorganic precursor for carbonization were deposited on BNNTs by a solutionprocess. Then, deposited HBC derivatives were carbonized with copper catalystat high temperatures. The carbonized samples were analyzed by XPS, TGA, Raman,SEM and TEM, indicating the successful carbonization on BNNTs surface. |
