Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been considered as the alternative of sputtered ITO due to their excellent mechanical, optical, thermal, and electronic properties. Here, we present a solution-processed assembly of mesh-patterned CNT films as transparent electrodes. In this study, we report a facile approach of mesh-patterned CNT films as transparent electrodes with soft polymeric template by fluidic and capillary force. The patterned CNT networks take advantage of attaining the percolation threshold at low concentration, leading to the higher transparency at low sheet resistance. Furthermore, the mesh-patterned geometry enhances the stretchability of transparent CNT electrodes. While randomly deposited SWNTs lose their connection at high strain, patterned SWNTs can maintain their connection and thus the electrical conductivity. The mesh-patterns of CNT networks demonstrated in this study suggest a new concept for the transparent and stretchable electrodes. |
